Lake Superior Chapter Has Another Outstanding Fundraiser

Lake Superior Chapter’s major fundraiser has raised a total of more than $3,100,000. Its contributions to Safari Club International surpassed $650,000, and its revenue retained for local efforts is more than $1,600,000.

“This check is a check made from blood, sweat, tears and love for our organization and the dedicated chapter members, vendors, outfitters, sponsors and Board of Directors who worked tirelessly to raise funds for Safari Club International,” said chapter president Cyndy Boyce when she presented the chapter’s most recent 30 percent check for $45,000 to SCI President Paul Babaz.

Since having its fundraiser, the chapter has approved more than $120,000 in funding requests. Those include $2,500 to SCIF, financial support to the NRA – ILA, numerous shooting ranges, more than 20 local and regional high school trap teams funding for various conservation efforts and significant funding for veterans and disabled youth hunting opportunities, as well as the chapter’s own youth day event.
