Safari Club International started a new online publication last month with its first edition of “Crosshairs – Europe Edition.” This e-newsletter will be published once a month and will focus exclusively on European-based advocacy and conservation articles and will be sent to all of SCI’s European members.
To date, “Crosshairs – Europe Edition” has 3,356 subscribers. Our first issue was a great success and had an even greater engagement from our European readers than the Crosshairs that we send to all members. The first issue included articles on 1) an SCI European Leaders meeting in Barcelona in July; 2) SCI’s efforts to fight a proposal from Germany to increase restrictions on the importation of EU Annex B species; 3) east Caucasian tur conservation; 4) the composition of the 2017-2018 SCI International Affairs and Development Committee; 5) and a recent European Advocate General decision on the practice of capturing finches in Malta.
If you would like to submit an article for possible publication relating to hunting advocacy or conservation in Europe, please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If possible, we will publish selected articles in both English and the language of origin.
